Here is my first batch of washed dishes. See unlike living at home with Mom and Dad it is really easy to keep up with dishes because those 2 aren’t filling the sink every time I turn my back.
Here is a small mushroom that I had growing near my back door. Second one I have found. Kind of odd because I live on a hill side near the top so it is not like there is a lot of water pooling near the back. I guess I could just poor some chlorine or other chemical that life doesn’t like to keep anything from growing back there. Or I can let them grow and name them and have little friends always near my door.

Here is the door to the lab I work in. In has a radioactive materials sign, haven’t been able to ask my advisor if it is legit or not yet. The lab is for indoor air pollution so I guess some old buildings might have radioactive building materials.
I am guessing that this device is a shrink ray used to shrink people before they go into the indoor air pollution test chamber. Best way to study pollution is to become pollution

My desk space, though maybe not permanently, apparently the former inhabitant may not be truly gone and is lurking about ready to reclaim what was once hers.
And the final photo is a picture of a USA today I got from a despensery(?) on campus that claims it does not charge you student ID (which must be used to activate the dispensery(?)) So I am assuming they are free, which is nice, also the local Rolla paper is free, tomorrow I shall check out the Sunday addition for what comics they carry in these parts.
Overall I am pretty impressed with my new home. It sounds like the University does more to get Undergrads involved in research, or at least lab work earlier then WSU, which I consider a definite plus. The schools population is 6000+ with the city of Rolla having a population of 16,000+, I don’t know if the Universitys population is considered a part of that count or not. I am in easy biking distance from campus, even the hills I have to tackle are simple compared to the straight uphill shot I had leaving Shidodo Secondary School every day. Haven’t really made any new friends yet, though the majority of the students haven’t bothered to show up on campus, and those that do are like myself working on research projects or partaking in workshops mandated by the University.
Speaking of workshops I got to use a fire extinguisher yesterday. Part of my lab safety workshop, the rest of it was pretty snooze worthy, which might be why I don’t remember any of it. Hope I don’t do anything unsafe.
Oh and after tomorrow I will have more photos to upload of Nicholas and Alexander. I will be heading up that way to chill with Grandpa, Grandma, Tom, Barb, Esther and Peter.
