Moving?

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

So my landlord has a new boss, and his new boss has no where to stay. So my landlord has asked if I would move out of the house I am staying in now, and into his son’s hut. He claims it is only temporary, and besides the size I am really not taking a downgrade. Everyone I know tells me that it won’t be temporary though. Funny that I am only 1 of maybe 5 volunteers, out of the 160 or so of us in Kenya, who would even consider this. I am going along with it, because he said he would reduce the rent my school must pay, which helps my school, and he claimed it was temporary.

One of the teachers thinks it is a great idea for all the added “benefits” like watching my landlords tv, or having my meals with his family. One I didn’t come a 1/3 of the way around the world to watch tv, and also I can only eat so much Ugali and Fried Kale before I want to do terrible painful things to myself. So I do hope it is temporary.

So I happen to be at a computer terminal today so I decided to write some e-mails and post on the old blog. First off congratulations on Graduating for both Aaron and Amber. 2nd I did send mom a Mothers day sms, but she claims she never got it, I think it is a conspiracy. Finally yes I am listing Rachel & Travis’s place as my Home for PC, so that I fly into meet them during December. If you guys actually receive anything important from PC just forward it to Ma & Pa.

Commando & Movies

So some of you may remember this little gem from early in Arnold the Governators career. Well among the other great things in the movie, was the fact that the bad guy was going to invade the country of South America, which some friends dubbed Brazilgentinaguay. And Arnold killed about 90 other living beings (all technically the enemy). We actually counted, we were bored that night.

Also I was not that impressed with Spiderman 3. Kind of campy, and I think they should have had Gwen in the first movie, and the Green Goblin should have killed her just like the comic book. And Topher Grace was not a good Venom. Shooter was another movie that I saw, I was surprised that one was made, because it’s lesson at the end is if you don’t like how the government behaves kill some people. Good Shepard was alright, saw that one in Dar, I think Matt Damons kid in that movie was pretty creepy. Finally I saw 300, on DVD, yeah they get DVDs here fast, sometimes you can actually see people getting up on the screen, since it was filmed at the theaters, but the dealer claimed he was licensed by Disney, was 300 made by Disney? My only thought was that it was kind of stupid for the King to send the poor hunchback away because he couldn’t use his shield in the Phalanx, since the majority of their fighting was not in the phalanx, I think they used it twice.

That is all, actually not, the first thing I am going to do when I get back to the states is deactivate the comments on all of these posts that are more than 2 months old, the spam is getting insane.
