I sit here during my planning period, thinking to myself how odd it is that I have been given control of a classroom.
How did that happen?
I figured it was about time for me to update on our exploits. As most of you probably know I got a job teaching at the High School in Colby, Kansas. Colby is way in western Kansas, it is a rather small town that skirts Interstate 70. Anyway, I was assigned to teach five sections of American History and one section of Sociology. However our schedule is slightly bizarre to an outside observer.
Basically I have 4 classes everyday. The first two are regular periods, 50 minutes, they are both American History (It gets slightly confusing from there on out). Next up is a block class that is about an hour and twenty minutes. It is followed by a second block that is approximately the same amount of time. However, I only see these classes every other day. So essentially I have four block classes, three of which are American History.
My challenge is to sync up my daily classes with the block classes. In theory two of the regular periods should add up to be one block class, it doesn’t always work out that way.
My Sociology class is interesting, I feel as though I am boring them to death with notes. I am just not a very creative person I guess, who would have thunk.
Amber is working for the Sheriffs department as a secretary. Apparently they like her a lot because they make fun of her all the time. She said she can take me to the shooting range someday (to work on my zombie killing skills of course).
Our social life is just over nil, it doesn’t effect me very much, sometimes I wonder about my lovely wife though. I keep busy with school work and watching X-Files with Amber. I miss WoW, but all that played do.
Not much else to say. Ma and Pa came up and they brought Bea, that was pretty cool.
Goodbye.
